Atiba,

This is one of those issues that we all know exists, yet noone dares talk about. I believe it is because of three factors; guilt, shame and fear.
Guilt, because most men deal with lust, porn and masturbation at some point in their lives. Some of us have done more than just peek at a few naked women in Playboy, although that is where it usually starts.
Shame, because most of us know, deep down inside, that pornography is sinfully wrong. It degrades women, turning them into mere sex objects for gratification. Jesus said lusting for a woman is the same as committing adultery.
Fear, because what if others find out I've struggled with this secret sin? Others will think I'm a pervert or something.
Truth: according to Dr. Patrick Carnes, one of America's leading authorities on sexual addiction, two-thirds of American men struggle with lust and some form of sexual compulsion at some point in their lives. many are able to overcome through religion and a healthy marital relationship, but some are not able to overcome and become caught up in web of secrecy, lies, experimenting w/other forms of sexual deviancy. For approximately 15%, compulsion becomes an addiction, and a doorway into a place of darkness that is hard to escape.
